Rona Fried, Ph.D
Dr. Fried is known for her wide-ranging, deep knowledge of sustainable business and environmental issues in general. She is president and founder of SustainableBusiness.com, and speaks and writes on topics related to sustainable business.

SustainableBusiness.com (SB.com) has been on-line for over seven years and is the established Internet community for businesses that integrate triple bottom line concerns - economic, and social and environmental - into their core strategy. Its mission is to provide the services these businesses need to grow, thus accelerating the spread and acceptance of sustainable business practices. SB.com covers the field as whole, bringing together businesses from such diverse industries as renewable energy, organic products, social investing, green building and construction, and emerging areas such as bioproducts.

Previously, Rona founded and directed the Sustainable Business Network. Before that, she served as Director, Business Development for the Global Recycling Network, a recycling industry web site where she created business alliances, strategic direction and content. In 1993, Rona founded Eco Rep, an environmental products brokerage service serving the natural foods industry and in 1991, she opened Earthwares, an environmental products retail store. She has also consulted with companies to help them develop environmentally responsible product alternatives.

Dr. Fried received her Ph.D. from SUNY/Buffalo in 1982, and her B.A. from University of Wisconsin/Madison in 1976.
